Cat Sitting Visits
Each Kitty is unique and special in their own way, so our services adapt to their individual needs while also maintaining a system to cover all of their needs.
Some enjoy lots of love and petting, and some NOT so much! We follow their cues and cater to them.
Some kitties might hide the first visit or two, and then come to check us out and then some are SUPER excited to see us right away and will come right out to see us, visit with us, have a great conversation, enjoy lots of pets, and enjoy playing, so we recognize their level of interest and we will adapt accordingly.
Those cats who are shy around new people will generally start to associate the sitter with food or play with their favorite toy. It is truly a joy to see them come out of their shell, and over the years this has happened too many times to express. People tell us all the time, “My cat never does this”. Cats know!
Recently in a journal update to the client after our visit, the sitter let the owner know that their very shy cat came out to play and hung out with the sitter. The client didn’t believe us until she saw the picture of her shy cat sitting next to the sitter, she thought for sure the sitter had her 2 cats mixed up by name and she was flabbergasted to see the photo. There was her 5-year-old cat, who had various sitters over the years WAS indeed, sitting there with the sitter!
And while we can’t guarantee every cat will respond this way, we have had it happen more times than we can count over the years and it brings us so much joy!
